MANAGEMENT


Mainak is a Director and CEO of GPS Renewables. Mainak has completed his MBA from IIM Bangalore and his engineering from NIT, Calicut. He had been named as one of the top Indian innovators under the age of 35 by the MIT Technology Review. He is also an ex-Global Shaper, World Economic Forum. Mainak leads sales and business development for ULB (urban local body) and BOO (Build Own Operate) projects at GPS.

Sreekrishna is the COO at GPS Renewables. A computer engineer by training with an MBA from IIM Bangalore, Sreekrishna oversees technology & operations at GPS Renewables. He is the brains behind GPS’ unique technology driven remote and automated O&M (operations and maintenance) model. Prior to founding GPS, Sreekrishna has worked with IBM Software Labs and has been a part of the founding team of Free Software Foundation, India.


Praveen is a part of the founding team of GPS Renewables, and currently heads design and engineering. A mechanical engineer from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, Praveen, comes with 22 years of experience in R&D, product development, precision engineering, and manufacturing. Prior to founding GPS, he has worked with / for companies such as GE, Bosch, Ford and BPL Group, India’s erstwhile leading homegrown electronics manufacturing company.

Madhurjya leads Post-Sales at GPS Renewables. Madhurjya holds an MBA from IIM Bangalore and B.Tech in mechanical engineering from IIT Guwahati. He is also a certified FRM (GARP). Prior to joining GPS, Madhurjya had held leadership positions at the XIIth South Asian Games Organizing Committe, EXL and Yes Bank (retail operations).


Jidesh Haridas is the CMO of GPS Renewables. An IIMB graduate with 7 years of startup experience, he is part of the leadership team at GPS involved in all aspects of scaling up the company. Prior to GPS, he was the COO of Capricoast.com, an Accel backed company that was acquired by Homelane. Jidesh has held various business positions at Honeywell (Strategic Marketing), Unilever and British Oxygen in the past.

Rajesh heads the product sales division for GPS Renewables. The first two decades of his career has been in chemicals and systems focused on treatment and recycling of water and waste water. He relishes the opportunity to focus on solid waste management through BioUrja, the class-leading product in biomethanation. Rajesh holds an engineering degree from NIT Calicut and a Senior Management Programme degree from IIM Calcutta.

V Subramanian

Independent Director

V Subramanian is presently the CEO and Secretary General of the India Wind Energy Association. An IAS officer of the 1971 batch, prior to this, he was the Principal Secretary of the MNRE (Ministry of New & Renewable Energy), Govt of India, where he pioneered important initiatives for reforms and development of the renewable energy sector, including the introduction of the “Feed-in Tariff” concept. As Additional Secretary & later Financial Adviser, Ministry of Rural Development, he implemented National Rural Development plans including the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Apart from GPS Renewables, he is/has been a Director at organizations such as REC, IREDA, PTC, Adani Enterprises and Suzlon Energy.

Pratima Ram

Independent Director 

Pratima Ram advises GPS on its financial strategy. She was previously the CEO of India Infoline, one of India’s largest financial services firm with a market capitalization of USD 0.9 billion. Prior to that, she was Group President, Finance, at Punj Lloyd, at a time when its topline had peaked to USD 2.4 billion. She was also the country head of SBI (State Bank of India), USA and South Africa.
