GPS Renewables and Indian Oil Corporation Form a 50:50 Joint Venture
GPS Renewables has formed a 50:50 Joint Venture with Indian Oil Corp Limited (IOCL), the pioneers of the SATAT initiative. This marks the first JV by any OMC for biogas.
The new entity IOC GPS Renewables Pvt Ltd will focus on sustainable energy solutions, leveraging advanced biogas technologies to convert organic waste into Compressed Biogas (CBG). This collaboration aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote energy security nationwide.

GPS Renewables enters into a 50:50 joint venture with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Maharatna Company and the second-largest oil marketing company in India, to develop renewable energy and compressed biogas (CBG) plants across the country.
This partnership aims to meet the CBG blending obligation mandate and to support the energy transition and net zero initiatives of BPCL. Together we strive to build 8-12 CBG plants nationwide with an aggregate planned capacity of 150 TPD.
GPS Renewables and Oil India Ltd. Form 50:50 JV for Large-Scale Biogas Expansion
GPS Renewables has entered into a 50:50 joint venture with Oil India Ltd. to establish eight compressed biogas (CBG) plants across India, with a total generating capacity of over 30,000 metric tons per year.
Each plant will be designed to process either agricultural residue, organic waste, or municipal solid waste, depending on the specific requirements of the location. This will reduce carbon emissions and contribute to India’s bio-economy by providing an alternative to fossil fuels, enhancing waste management, and creating local job opportunities.
This collaboration aligns closely with India’s ambitions to set up 5,000 CBG plants under the Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation (SATAT) initiative.

GPS Renewables has signed a MoU with Indraprastha Gas Limited
(IGL) to jointly establish multiple Compressed Biogas (CBG) projects within IGL’s operational areas. The MoU was exchanged by Mr. Mainak Chakraborty, CEO of GPSR, and Mr. Vinod Kumar Dhaka, Executive Director of IGL. in the presence of Sh. Kamal Kishore Chatiwal. Managing Director of IGL.
GPS Renewables partners with Dubai-based SAF One to develop Sustainable Aviation Fuel projects in India
We have partnered with Dubai-based SAF One, a platform focused on developing global sustainable aviation fuel solutions, to construct and develop Sustainable Aviation Fuel Projects in India.
As a part of this partnership. GPS project platform, ARYA, along with SAF One, will co-develop a 20 to 30 million liters per year
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) facility using lignocellulosic waste feedstock (residual dry plant matter). This collaboration supports India’s move towards 1-5% blended SAF usage by 2027.

Strategic Partnership with Arka BRENStech
We have joined hands with Arka BRENStech Pvt Ltd (ABPL), a renowned biogas pioneer to offer comprehensive engineering services, including Project Management services and specialized equipment for BioCNG plants producing up to 10 TPD of CBG.
ABPL will provide GPSRs OptiMAXX equipment, tailored for india’s CBG sector, and their advanced lab equipment powered by German technology.
To deliver efficiency and excellence, our partnership targets mid-size CBG plants, the largest segment in India’s CBG sector. By combining our project experience, engineering prowess, and OptiMAXX equipment with ABPL’s engineering skills, execution experience, and advanced lab equipment. we’re poised to deliver top-performing mid-size bioCNG plants. We are setting new industry standards and boosting India’s bioCNG sector.
